Army Air Force Game Photos -- 11/7/09

A - Beautiful day in Colorado. Sixty degrees, but windy - which affected Army's kicking and passing. Sold out stadium, with lots of troops from Fort Carson hosted free. USMA brought four companies of cadets - lower right side of the field.

B - Howie Haupt, retired AF navigator, living in Northern CA wine country. In great shape, as a runner.

C - Some of USMA '57 in the stands: 1st two are Marcy and Stan Pore. 2d row, Art Johnson, Kay & Don Roland, Jose Olvera. 3d row, Phyllis and Howie Haupt, and Suzy Mattmiller (Bill Golden's guest - he's out of the photo).

I - Great coincidence meeting: Lucy Kutyna and Inez Spangrud (my old boss's wife) who happens to be the Army Football Coach's MOTHER-IN-LAW! Lucky guy!!

L - The guys illustrating their USMA '57 discipline when I told them to "look at the camera".

M - What the Army "Rocket" Cheer (Whistle - BOOM - Aaaahhh) looked like when led by Howie Haupt. All the open mouths are the "Aaaaahhh" part. Those not opening (Prichard and Owen's son, Charlie) are awaiting a disciplinary determination.
