Atlanta -- 4th

We celebrated the 21st annual July 4th Atlanta Celebration beginning on Friday night with a no-host dinner at the 57th Fighter Group Restaurant. The name is certainly appropriate. On Saturday we all met at the Solomon’s
home for a great meal featuring Lou Circeo’s chicken and Fred Smith’s london broil along with lots of other goodies. In attendance were Jim and Joan Armstrong, Martin and Val Carson, Lou Circeo, Charlie and Peggy Coates, Bob and Luanne Faulkender, Sam Focer and Lois Hoopes, Joe and Sue House, Parks and Sue Houser, Gerry and Barbara Jagrowski, Mike and Judy Keating, Fox and Barbara McCarthy, Dan and Lanier McCrary, Paul and Alice Schwehm, Jerry and Jody Scott, Fred Smith and Kathy Tulley, Jack and Pat Solomon, Bob and Kay Veal, and Bill and Montse  Webb. As most of you know, one of our committee members and party founders, Fred Wells, passed away this year but was represented by his daughter Susan, his 2 grandchildren, Andrew and Sarah and his son-in-law Dan Drechsel.

Other guests were Hank (former 504th PIR) and Marilyn Murphy and Gary (USAFA ‘63) and Sue Saban. The Murphy’s and Saban’s are part of Pat and Jack Solomon’s extended family. Also in attendance was Laura Hughes, sister of Sue House.  The Jagrowski’s grandson, Alex was also a welcome addition.

Grip hands,

Jack
